Stakeholder Notice

UN Food Systems Summit Listening Session

The U.S. government will host an informal, virtual listening session on Sept. 3 to solicit stakeholder input in advance of the UN Food Systems Summit, which takes place Sept. 23.
Deputy Secretary Dr. Jewel Bronaugh led the U.S. delegation to the UN Food Systems Pre-Summit in Rome July 26-28, working to build coalitions and consensus around prioriites including food security and nutrition, climate change, and equity and inclusion.
In the leadup to the United Nations Food Systems Summit in September, U.S. government officials took part in the Pre-Summit Ministerial meeting in Rome July 26-28, advancing proposals, building coalitions, and seeking solutions to end hunger and poverty and build more sustainable, equitable and resilient food systems.
