Sean Cox is the Agricultural Attaché and current head of the USDA office at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Rome, where he works with the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme, representing and negotiating on behalf of the United States on a number of different committees. Prior to serving in Rome, Sean was the Agricultural Attaché in Guatemala City, managing all U.S. agricultural trade issues and USDA development programs for Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Belize. Sean also worked at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service in Washington, D.C., on the North Africa and European Union desks. Before joining USDA, Sean was a Fulbright Public Policy Fellow in Guatemala. Sean was a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador and a Peace Corps Fellow at Fordham University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University and two Master of Art degrees from Fordham University in International Political Economy and Economics. He is originally from Minnesota and is married with two kids.
