China: UPDATE - China Notifies Draft Measures on Supervision and Management of Food Labeling

On December 12, 2019, China notified Food Labeling Supervision and Management Measures (Draft for Comments) to the WTO TBT Committee as G/TBT/N/CHN/1401. Comments can be sent to tbt@customs.gov.cn. The deadline for comment submission is 60 days from notification, i.e. February 10, 2020. China has not announced a proposed date of entry into force for the measures. The same Draft Measures were released by the State Administration of Market Regulation (SAMR) for domestic comments on November 20, 2019. This report contains an unofficial translation of the draft Measures. This GAIN report supersedes GAIN report CH2019-0188.
