China: National Food Safety Standard for Maximum Residue Limits of 112 Pesticides in Foods Released

On January 4, 2023, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) National Health Commission (NHC), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), and State Administration of Market Regulation (SAMR) jointly announced the publication of a new National Food Safety Standard for 112 Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) in Foods. The pesticides covered in the new standard were notified to the WTO under G/SPS/N/CHN/1242 in December 2021. The full text of the standard became available for download at the China Agricultural Products Quality and Safety website in March 2023. This report provides an unofficial translation of the standard and the original as an attachment.
