Applying for 2024 Pima Agriculture Cotton Trust Fund Payments

Eligible Applicants

The following U.S. entities are eligible to apply for payments:

• Nationally recognized associations established for the promotion of pima cotton for use in textile and apparel goods, as determined by the Secretary of Agriculture, during the calendar year immediately preceding the payment.
• Producers of ring-spun cotton yarns measuring less than 83.33 decitex (exceeding 120 metric number), in single and plied form, during the prior calendar year.
• Manufacturers that cut and sew cotton shirts in the United States and can certify that: they used imported cotton fabric (80s or higher count and 2-ply in warp); that the fabric was purchased during the prior calendar year; and that the fabric was suitable for use in the manufacturing of men’s and boy’s woven cotton shirts.

Submission Instructions

Eligible entities must use the appropriate application form below and submit a notarized copy via email to: pimawool@usda.gov on or before March 15, 2024. The email subject line should read: “2024 Application: Pima Cotton Payment.”

All eligible entities must have an active System for Award Management (SAM) registration when applying for payments.  To check your registration status or to register for the first time please visit: https://www.sam.gov/SAM/

Applications received after the deadline will be rejected without further consideration. No facsimile or mailed (U.S. mail or another delivery service) applications will be accepted.

Special Note: Shirting manufacturers should note that the amount of eligible fabric reported on the affidavit is now limited by the dollar value of qualifying fabric actually used by the manufacturer to cut and sew men’s and boys’ shirts during the prior calendar year, as supported by production records maintained by the manufacturer. Claimants should review the current program regulations at 7 CFR 1471 for additional information on this limitation.
