Ali Abdi
Ali Abdi is a Senior Foreign Service Officer. He has served in USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service in Washington, D.C., and abroad since 1994. His assignments in Washington, D.C., encompassed commodity analysis, capacity building and development, trade and economic policy, and management. He has served in Egypt, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia, and is currently the Minister-Counselor in South Africa.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Old Dominion University and a Master of Arts degree in International Trade Relations from George Mason University.
