Private exporters reported the following sales activity: 111,800 MT of corn for delivery to Japan during MY 2022/2023 and 200,000 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico - 100,000 MT for delivery during MY 2022/2023 and 100,000 MT for delivery during MY 2023/2024.

USDA Identifies 2023 McGovern-Dole Priority Countries
For FY 2023, USDA anticipates awarding up to $224 million in new McGovern-Dole cooperative agreements. USDA has identified the following as priority countries for FY 2023: Cameroon, Haiti, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, and Togo.

U.S. Hot Sauces Bring Heat to Ag Trade
In honor of National Hot Sauce Day, USDA-FAS is celebrating a category of U.S. food exports that come in small packages but pack a lot of flavors and often heat – condiments and sauces. In 2021, the export of U.S.-made condiments and sauces was valued at $2 billion.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is accepting applications from U.S. exporters for its first-ever regional agricultural trade mission to Amsterdam, Netherlands, April 17 – 20, 2023.

Export Sales to Japan
Private exporters reported sales of 177,500 MT of corn for delivery to Japan - 7,500 MT for delivery during MY 2022/2023 and 170,000 MT for delivery during MY 2023/2024.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Agency for International Development, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration are launching the Food Safety for Food Security Partnership, also known as FS4FS. The initiative includes the investment of $15 million over the next five years to support the availability and trade of safe food products to reduce poverty, hunger, and malnutrition in low- and middle-income countries.
