The U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small will lead the first-ever U.S. agribusiness trade mission to Luanda, Angola on Nov. 28 – Dec. 1. USDA Foreign Agricultural Service is now accepting applications from U.S. exporters who wish to participate in this trade mission.

Food for Progress Program – FY 2021 Report to Congress

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is awarding $1.5 million to Texas A&M University and the University of Missouri to establish school-based programs in Ghana, Guatemala, and Mexico through the International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program.
USDA will invest $178 million in seven international development projects on four continents to support U.S. government priorities including promoting climate-smart agriculture, facilitating trade and addressing the root causes of migration in Central America.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Dr. Jewel Bronaugh administered the oath of office today to 14 USDA employees who will serve American agriculture internationally as members of the Foreign Service.

Export Sales to Nigeria and China

Private exporters reported the following activity: 132,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to China during MY 2022/2023 and 120,000 MT of hard red winter wheat for delivery to Nigeria - 60,000 MT is for delivery during MY 2021/2022 and 60,000 MT is for delivery during MY 2022/2023.
