USDA Trade Mission to East Africa Underway
Deputy Secretary Dr. Jewel Bronaugh arrived today in Nairobi to launch a USDA agribusiness trade mission. The U.S. delegation includes representatives from 32 agribusinesses and farm organizations looking to establish trade relationships and explore opportunities for U.S. exports to East Africa.
Representatives from 32 U.S. agribusiness and farm organizations will join Deputy Agriculture Secretary Dr. Jewel Bronaugh for a trade mission to Nairobi, Kenya, and Zanzibar, Tanzania, Oct. 31 - Nov. 4.

Export Sales to China, Philippines, and Unknown Destinations
Private exporters reported the following sales activity for MY 2022/2023: 392,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to China, 198,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations, and 230,000 MT of soybean cake and meal for delivery to the Philippines.
FAS is offering a grant opportunity to provide technical assistance to Ukrainian agricultural producers, focusing on the detection and mitigation of animal diseases and prevention of their introduction into the food supply.
