Taiwan: 2022 Taiwan Border Enhanced Inspection List for Specific Items

Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) announced its 2022 enhanced border inspection list for agricultural products. Of the total 23 products listed from specific countries, 3 U.S. products are on the list. “Fresh apple” (HS code: 0808.10.00.00.2), “fresh avocado” (HS code: 0804.40.00.00.0-A) and “other paper plate” (H.S. code: 4823.69.00.00.5-E) from the United States will have enhanced border inspection rates from 20 to 50 percent. This announcement will be effective from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
