FAS/Wellington’s New Zealand milk production forecast is raised for 2023 to 21.5 million metric tons (MMT) as a result of favorable pasture growing conditions entering the year and strong milk production during the first four months of 2023.

China: Decree 248 Product List Update - April 2023

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) recently updated the list of products subject to Decree 248 and has not notified these changes to trade partners.
The government of Egypt has yet to publish or notify an official statement regarding the application of halal certification on dairy past the April 1 deadline. However, the industry reports that another extension from fees has been granted for as much as a year.
