Philippines: FAIRS Annual Country Report

This report outlines Philippine government requirements for the importation of food and agricultural products. The report aims to assist U.S. exporters by providing information on labeling, packaging, permitted ingredients, and other relevant information. It also provides points of contact for key Philippine government authorities, U.S. government agencies, and trade associations. The Sections on labelling, packaging (sustainability measures), other requirements (processed products, plant, animal products, fishery) geographical indications were updated. A new Section X on Trade Facilitation was added.

China: Raisin Annual 2024

China’s raisin production is forecast to decline by 11 percent to 170,000 metric tons (MT) in Marketing Year (MY) 2024/25 because of lower grape production in Turpan in Xinjiang Province where persistent heat has affected pollination.
On October 28, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) published the revised mandatory national standard “General Directive for the Labeling of Agricultural Seeds”, which will come into effect on October 1, 2025.

In 2023, the agri-food market in France was still impacted by inflation, recorded at 3.8 percent. Price increases most severely impacted the lower income strata of society and cut into their ability to purchase. Many consumers are still moving away from big brands to less expensive distributor brands.
