India: Grain and Feed Update

On August 2, 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) released its Fourth Advance Estimate for Indian Crop Year (ICY) 2015/16 (July/June). Grain production is forecast at 252.2 million metric tons (MMT), unchanged from the third advance estimate (May 2016). Although total grain production remains the same, rice and corn estimates were raised, and wheat estimates were lower. The grain PSDsin this report are revised to reflect the latest official projections.
