EU-28: Commission Briefing on New Origin Labeling Rules

The European Commission published Implementing Regulation 2018/775 setting out Country of Origin Labeling rules for the primary ingredient in prepacked foods. The Commission is conducting outreach and soliciting questions on scope and applicability for its follow-up implementation guidance document it will develop.

United Kingdom: Grain Situation and Outlook Update

Five months into MY2024/25 the situation and outlook for the UK grain sector is starting to become clearer. Significant wheat opening stocks have partly offset concern surrounding the second smallest wheat harvest since MY1999/2000, but even the current momentum in imports means the wheat balance is looking tight.
