Cambodia: Grain and Feed Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

In marketing year (MY) 2017/18, Post estimates that Cambodia’s rice harvested area and production will increase by approximately 4 percent over the previous year, given favorable weather conditions, sufficient water supply and rising prices for paddy and exports. In MY 2018/19, Post forecasts that growth will continue at 2 percent, as exports will likely expand. Local corn prices have improved in the past six months following the Cambodian government’s support of corn silos, which have increased storage capability and raised farm gate prices.
