Data and Analysis
On June 9, 2020, the Seed Division of the Ministry of Agriculture released the Seed Rules 2020. The Rules cover the functions and responsibilities of the National Seed Board, seed laboratories, seed inspectors, seed analysts, and seed dealers, as well as the rules and procedures for seed sampling, certification, and registration or release of crop varieties.
FAS and the Economic Research Service jointly publish the quarterly Outlook for U.S. Agricultural Trade. The agricultural export forecast is updated February, May, August, and November.
On June 29, 2022, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) released Announcement No. 53 of 2022 titled “Implementation of Conditional Retrieval Facilitation Measures for Imported Seed.”
